are encouraged to think of amicable solutions to a vast range of issues, but not
limited to human rights protection, infringement of sovereignty, climate change,
sustainable development goals, peaceful use of atomic energy, and promoting
good health worldwide. In the weekly MUN club, students prepare country-specific
resolutions for committee agendas, which are debated, simulating United Nations
procedures. The club provides a platform for students who are passionate about
the United Nations and world affairs to become critical thinkers, and exhibit
analytical approaches to the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Our student
delegations from Classes 8 to 12 participate in several MUN conferences including
three international conferences.
f) Coding and Robotics
Through the robotics and coding programmes we look at building a strong
foundation in the field of computational thinking and robotics. The school provides
students with the resources and the opportunity to use this knowledge while
representing it at global competitions like the FIRST Tech Challenge (Classes 8 and
9) and the FIRST Robotics Competition (Classes 8 to 12). The competition
curriculum also has the students advocating various causes including inclusion and
gender diversity providing equal opportunities to all through partnerships with
organisations that work closely with local communities.
g) Annual School Events
The Annual Day, School Fete and Sporting meets are significant events that bring
the whole school family together. The events showcase the uniqueness of each
student, focusing on the joy of learning and community service. In preparation for
Annual Day, the school schedule changes, and we follow an 'Evening School'
schedule. As these events culminate, we celebrate the realisation of the vision and
mission of our school, and get ready to usher in the New Year with renewed resolve
and zeal.
h) Annual Athletic Meet
Students are trained through the year to nurture their sporting talents. In addition
to training for team games, track and field events, Inter-House tournaments are
held in Football, Basketball, Cricket, Touch Rugby, Taekwondo, Judo, Table-tennis,
Badminton and Squash.
In the Secondary Athletic Meet, only the top athletes from each house participate
in the track and field events.
i) Exchange Programmes
Students participate in exchange programmes with students from other schools.
These may encompass a particular school programme or the opportunity to be part
of the community service projects our school is involved in. These exchange
programmes help children develop cross-cultural perspectives and foster global
mindedness. The school's membership of various organisations worldwide serves
as an important platform for these exchange programmes.
Some exchanges may require students to stay in hotels or school accommodation;
