d) UNIVARIETY - DAIS Alumni Network
We have partnered with Univariety, as our alumni management platform. Its
Alumni Impact Program is dedicated to Alumni Management, Engagement, and
Networking. The system is not only to connect the alumni back with their school,
batchmates, seniors, juniors and teachers, but also to provide learning and
upskilling opportunities for them.
While the Alumni connect to their roots and journey at DAIS, our DAIS high school
students i.e. from Class 9 upwards, are being onboarded on this platform. Once on
the platform, current students can seek advice from the DAIS alumni, have their
queries answered for their career pathways and gain insights on relevant
internships etc. The power of alumni stories and their experiences through
captivating video case studies and direct Q&A sessions shall provide an informed
space and add to the perspectives of our DAIS students. For any queries/
suggestions you can write to alumni@dais.edu.in
e) Medical Centre
The school's medical centre is a well-equipped facility with four beds and a
dedicated emergency trauma room. It is staffed by qualified medical personnel,
including a School Medical Officer (doctor). In the doctor's absence, another
physician is available, and three nurses are present on campus when students are in
school, including during pre- and post-school activities.
The school medical team is responsible for routine and emergency medical care as
well as health promotion activities.
Parents are required to update their child's medical records annually and as
needed throughout the year. A medical form will be sent at the start of the summer
break, which must be completed by the child's paediatrician or family doctor and
upload on the parent portal.
In case of illness or injury, students will be sent to the medical centre with a covering
note from the teacher. In the event of an acute emergency requiring urgent
treatment or surgery, the school will inform parents / emergency contact
person (if any) immediately. If they cannot be reached, the school is
authorised to act in loco parentis and make necessary medical decisions.
Teachers are not permitted to administer medication. If a child needs medication
during school hours, parents must provide a written note to the class teacher, who
will coordinate with the school doctor/nurse for administration.
All parents must sign the emergency permission form and the undertaking of
exemption from liability in the event of medical emergencies.
Parents are required to inform the school of any changes in their child's
medical condition.
