k) Remote Learning Policy
In the event of physical school closure, the school provides teaching and learning
via a remote delivery mechanism. The remote learning policies & procedures are an
extension of the school policies and procedures, as the goal is to provide continuity
of teaching and learning with focus on holistic development.
Our learning model is synchronous, which involves online learning through virtual
meetings. Teachers teach on the Microsoft Teams platform, providing structured
time for students, engaging them in learning activities, collaborative discussions,
and group work in real time. Teachers curate and place repositories of digital
teaching and learning material in OneNote or Class Notebook for students to
reference and reinforce their learning. All lessons are recorded so that students may
review them at their own pace.
Virtual after-school activities are offered to foster relationships, to build a sense of
community to develop leadership skills.
The Microsoft Teams platform is also used to conduct Orientations for Parents,
Parent-Teacher Meetings, School events, and various other interactions.
l) Tuitions
Students of Dhirubhai Ambani International School are strongly discouraged from
taking private tuition, and parents are requested not to seek such tuition for their
children. The school closely monitors the performance and progress of all students,
and if the school finds that a child needs additional help, enrichment classes are
arranged in school, during school hours. Parents who have concerns regarding
their child's progress should meet with the Head of their child's section to discuss
the matter, and where appropriate, additional reinforcement of skills and/or
content will be arranged within the school day.
DAIS teachers are not permitted to give private tuition.
m) Enrichment Classes
Enrichment classes are scheduled for students who require extra support with their
studies, whether due to gaps in learning or missing lessons because of illness or
other commitments.
Parents will be contacted when it is determined that a student would benefit from
enrichment classes. Parents, please note that once the school has approved
enrichment classes for a child, these are not optional, as they become an
integral component of the DAIS education for the child.
The enrichment classes will continue until the student is making progress at or
above expected levels.
