specific skills that have relevance across the curriculum and that help them learn
how to learn. These skills set the foundations for lifelong learning. Subject Teachers
and students report on specific skills that were explicitly developed and practised in
               the term.
Effort Grade reflects the student's industrious nature and diligence with respect
to homework, projects and class participation. These include IB affective skills
(perseverance, persistence, resilience and self-motivation), organizational skills
(preparedness, time management, punctuality) and collaboration skills (teamwork,
contributions). Effort grades are given subject-wise at the end of the term based
upon the level of consistency of performance by a student.
               (i) Progress Report:

Students receive a progress report at the end of each term which consists of a
final grade, effort grade, ATL progression and subject comments by each
teacher. Students also reflect on their performance. Parents are encouraged to
reflect and review each progress report with their child and may reach out to
                   the respective offices if needed.

               (ii) Academic Review Process:
As part of the results review process, students who are under-achieving are
identified, and they along with their parents meet with the respective
Programme Coordinator and the Head of Learning. A detailed discussion,
based on understanding the learning gaps in the subjects, is followed by an
action plan for intervention by setting targets, and providing additional
support and enrichment. Progress towards targets set is evaluated regularly
until the student is achieving at or above expected levels. In cases where there
are learning challenges, the Student Care Department is also included in the
                   review.

               (iii) Transcripts:
Transcripts are sent to universities based on the performance in school exams
and assessments (Classes 9 -12) using a 4.0 scale GPA.
For ICSE the overall grade is calculated with an exam to assessment weightage
of 80% to 20% whereas for IGCSE and IB Diploma the exam to assessment
weightage is 60% to 40% as represented by the Term Final Grade.
Further details are available from the College Counselling Department.

            g) Homework
Learning to follow up work done in class, and to pursue a line of study individually
and without the immediate guidance of the teacher, is crucial to a student's
