c) Service at DAIS
A key feature of DAIS education is providing an enduring learning experience to
instil the values of caring, compassion and empathy in students. These values lie at
the heart of the DAIS service learning activities and equip students with the
knowledge and skills to bring about positive social change.
Students are involved in community service, to achieve three primary goals –
AWARENESS, ACTION and ADVOCACY. The age-appropriate local, national and
international service projects and activities involve planning, action, review and
reflection, which create invaluable life experiences.
Service Learning creates the provide opportunities for purposeful civic learning.
Active community service helps students define for themselves what it means to
participate in a democratic society and deepens their understanding of individual
leadership and social responsibility. Interactions with the community lead to new
perspectives and more positive lifestyle choices and behaviour. Our students evolve
as reflective thinkers by applying academic learning to real-world human needs.

In keeping with the spirit of the IBDP, students will have the opportunity to choose,
develop, and carry out their own service experiences. This approach emphasizes
“voice and choice,” allowing students to select activities that align with their
interests and passions. The school will assist students in finding appropriate service
opportunities when needed, providing guidance and resources to help them
connect with causes that matter to them. Additionally, the school will organise
large-group service activities during the programme to foster community
               engagement and collaboration.
            d) Round Square
The Round Square IDEALS, International Understanding, Democracy,
Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership, and Service, are incorporated
into our curriculum in multi-dimensional ways. The school continues to build on
these precepts and refine them continuously, so that every child is encouraged and
supported to develop a wholesome personality. Round Square remains an integral
part of student life at DAIS. The Round Square Student Committee (RSSC) works
with the Student Council, identifies needs, and plans action for Round Square
events within and outside the school. They lead, mentor, and guide juniors, and
together decide events, plan, organise, execute, host, and participate in
conferences, virtual postcards, collaborative projects (Earth day, Language
Exchanges, pen-pals, etc) imbibing the Round Square Philosophy across grade
               levels.
            e) Model United Nations
IB Diploma students take the lead in planning, organising and executing and
conducting the Dhirubhai Ambani International school Model United Nations
(DAIMUN). Model United Nations co-curricular activity at DAIS nurtures student

issues and diplomatically articulate realistic solutions for a peaceful world. Students
