academic development. Parents are requested to ensure that children do their
homework (coursework, internal assessments or project work) regularly and follow
the timelines wherever specified. By homework the school refers to all forms of
academic follow-up that takes place at home and not necessarily just written work.
Homework encourages systematic study habits, develops time-management skills,
and ensures appropriate amounts and balance of homework assignments during
the week. Projects, Coursework and Internal Assessments given to students in
Classes 8 to 12 are assessed against the set criteria according to Board regulations
and will contribute to the students' grades.
h) Toddle
The Toddle platform supports collaboration amongst the learning community, and
is currently the Learning Management System (LMS) at DAIS. It streamlines
curriculum planning, portfolios, assessments and reports, and online learning. As a
purpose-built platform created by educators, for educators, it allows teachers and
administrators to communicate within and across class-level teams, map and align
curriculum, and extract and analyse data to inform learning and teaching. It also
provides opportunities for teacher-student-family communication and documents
children’s learning journeys. The Toddle Community feature enables educators to
access professional learning resources across the globe.
i) Parent Portal
A comprehensive Parent Portal is in place to streamline and automate various
administrative processes. The software integrates multiple modules and
functionalities, covering various aspects of school operations, such as student
information management, attendance tracking, fee collection, transport
management, canteen/snacks payment, medical records, and more.
j) Child Protection
The school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the rights of children in its
care, including their right to be protected from harmful influences, abuse, and
exploitation. We ensure compliance with the Child Safeguarding and Protection
Policy through annual orientations and sensitisation training for all employees,
support staff, auxiliary staff and children. All stakeholders are made aware of the
policy and procedures.
As per this Policy, there is a Child Protection Panel (CPP) to act on any complaint
received. The panel comprises 3 staff members:
Child Protection Officer: 1) Ms. Rachana Shah (Whole school member) –
rachana.shah@dais.edu.in
