community service, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and student internships. By
tapping into the wide-ranging talents and expertise of our parent community,
these groups enrich student learning and help strengthen our school’s culture of
innovation, engagement, and service.
Through these programmes, we aim to build a strong, inclusive, and dynamic
school community—one where parents are not just participants, but valued
partners in the educational journey.
a) Strengthening Student Learning: In every child's educational journey,
the collaboration between parents and school serves as a cornerstone for success.
At DAIS, this partnership extends far beyond the classroom walls, encompassing a
diverse array of activities and engagements that enrich the overall learning
experience. Parents join forces with faculty to create an environment conducive to
holistic student development.
The school looks forward to working with parents in this partnership, including
through our parent workshops, in realising our common aim of providing a holistic
education for your child. To this end, parents are invited to scheduled meetings
throughout the year to discuss their children’s learning.
NB: We follow an open-door policy and encourage parents to meet with teachers
as needed, not only during Parent-Teacher Meetings with a prior appointment.
b) Parent Teacher Meetings: Teachers and parents meet to discuss student
progress, needs, and next steps. It provides both parties with opportunities to
gather background information, seek clarification and address concerns that
impact learning.
c) Orientations: Orientations are held for parents and students (where applicable)
of all classes at the beginning of each academic year in order to orient them about
the procedures and practices followed at the school and the changes that come in
with the transition. Presentations are also conducted for subject choices wherever
applicable.
d) School and Home

child, the influence of home and family plays a bigger part than what is learnt in
the school, and that the role of parents in a child's development is as important as
that of the school. Dhirubhai Ambani International School counts on the support
of parents in its commitment to do the best for its students.
We look to parents to provide a healthy and cheerful home environment,
encourage thoughtfulness, tolerance and responsibility, and foster good social
conduct.
For parents of adolescent students, there are added responsibilities of
