Ÿ Parents are discouraged from taking students out of school during regular
school days.
Ÿ Students are not permitted to leave school premises during school hours
without prior permission from the Section Head or school office. Leave may
only be granted for passport/driving license appointments, family, or medical
emergencies.
Ÿ Personal trips, excursions, or holidays are not allowed during school days. The
school reserves the right to deny permission for leave that interferes with
academic obligations or school events.
Ÿ Students must be present in school on the last day before and the first day
after vacations (Spring, Summer, Diwali, and Christmas). In the event of illness
on these days, a written communication to the Head and Programme
Coordinator's office is required.
Ÿ Students are not permitted to stay home during revision periods for
examination preparation.
Ÿ Parents must not send students to school who are unwell or not fully recovered.
In cases of infectious illness, a medical clearance certificate is mandatory
for re-entry.
Ÿ The school reserves the right to inform universities of a student's attendance
record, behaviour, and academic work habits.
Ÿ Repeated absence may lead to detention or suspension, at the discretion of
the Head.
Ÿ The school may not reschedule assessments for students absent without
approved leave. All such absences are recorded in the student's file.
Ÿ Approved leave may be granted for participation in competitive
examinations, prestigious events, or award ceremonies on a case-by-
case basis with prior intimation.
3. Expectations while in school
All students are expected to maintain respectful, responsible, and safe conduct
throughout the school day. The following expectations apply across learning spaces
and transition times:
a. Movement During School Hours
Ÿ Students must not loiter outside classrooms or laboratories during lesson time.
Ÿ If excused by a teacher (e.g. to use the washroom), they must return promptly
and resume classwork.
Ÿ When using staircases and corridors, students should keep to the left. In the
case of an emergency evacuation, students must move in a single file, keeping
