Ÿ Ensure Compliance and Accountability Honour school expectations at all
times. Accept consequences and learn from them. All members of the school
community—including students, parents, and staff—share responsibility for
upholding the standards outlined in this policy.
Scope of the Policy
This code of conduct applies:
Ÿ From the moment a student leaves home for school until their return home
Ÿ During transport, school events, field trips, online interactions, and all activities
organised by or associated with DAIS
The school reserves the right to update rules and expectations in response to evolving
needs. Any changes will be communicated in a timely manner to students and parents.
Behaviour Levels and Consequences
Our responses to inappropriate behaviour follow a tiered framework, ensuring fairness,
consistency, and opportunities for learning at each stage:
Level 1: Teacher-Led Interventions
Examples include (but not limited to):
Ÿ Disruption in class or activities
Ÿ First-time dress code violations
Ÿ Homework infractions or missed deadlines
Ÿ Inappropriate language
Ÿ Poor sportsmanship or minor disrespect
Ÿ Off-task behaviour (e.g. unauthorized device use, casual online browsing, social
media use)
Response:
Ÿ Student is reminded of expectations
Ÿ Reflection or verbal apology may be required
Ÿ Repeated behaviour escalates to Level 2
Ÿ Parent will be informed
