Student Conduct and Expectations

            1. Behaviour

Ÿ There is one fundamental school rule, which is that all students are expected to
always behave with courtesy, consideration, and respect for others and the
                   school.
Ÿ Students should refrain from any actions that may compromise safety or bring
                   disrepute to the school.
Ÿ All students are responsible for contributing to a positive classroom learning
atmosphere for the benefit of their own learning and that of others.
Ÿ Public displays of affection and the use of obscene or vulgar language are
prohibited on school premises, during school trips, or at any school-affiliated
                   gathering.
Ÿ Courtesy should be extended particularly to those younger or with physical
                   challenges, especially in shared spaces.

            2. Punctuality and Attendance
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for academic success, personal
discipline, and the smooth functioning of the school community.
            a. Punctuality
Ÿ Students are expected to arrive at school by 8:10 a.m. each morning.
Ÿ Students arriving between 8:10 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. will be marked late and
                   their names recorded.
Ÿ A detention will be assigned on every third occasion a student is late.
Accumulation of three detentions may result in a one-day suspension, and
                   parents will be informed accordingly.
Ÿ At the end of the school day, students must report to the bus bay on time. Buses
will depart as scheduled. If a student misses the bus, parents will be responsible
                   for arranging alternate transportation.

            b. Attendance
Ÿ A minimum of 90% attendance is required for Classes 11 and 12 to meet
graduation criteria, based on the annual academic calendar.
Ÿ In the case of absence, parents must notify the school via telephone or email at
                   the earliest opportunity.
Ÿ A doctor's certificate is mandatory for absences of three or more
consecutive days due to illness. This is also required for rescheduling any
                   missed assessments.

Ÿ Appointments with doctors or dentists should be scheduled outside of school
                   hours.
