SMALL ACTIONS CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE SNOW LEOPARD ADVENTURE CAMP

PYP Grade 4 learners visited the Dry Waste Collection Centre in Bandra, run by the Aasra Welfare Foundation along
with the BMC. This field trip created awareness about Mumbai's dry waste which gets sorted into more than 48 DAIS IGCSE 8 & 9 and MYP Grades 6-8 along with PYP Grade 5 went on
categories — including plastic, e-waste, glass, textiles, and multi-layered packaging (MLP). Students walked the SLA trip from 15-20 March'25. Zip-lining, river rafting, trekking, and
through primary and secondary segregation areas, learned how different materials are recovered, and even both indoor and outdoor games added to their fun quotient. Staying in
watched machines compress plastic into neat, compact bales ready for recycling. On another day, they explored tents provided them with a unique opportunity to share stories and
the banks of the Mithi River, where they reflected on issues like water pollution, sewage discharge, and how waste bond. However, they gathered cultural information by inter-mingling
impacts river life. with the local community.

                EXPLORATIONS AROUND
                    TRADE AND MONEY

NMAJS PYP Class 3 students visited the RBI Monetary
Museum to explore the evolution of trade and money. As they
toured the exhibits, they discovered a wide array of currencies
from different historical periods, gaining first-hand insight
into how monetary systems have developed over time. A
special highlight of the visit was their interaction with the
museum curator, who shared intricate details about the
minting of coins and printing of paper currency at the
Reserve Bank. This immersive experience not only deepened
the students' understanding of trade systems, but also vividly
brought their classroom learning to life.

             PLOTTING GEOGRAPHICAL DATA

The DAIS IGCSE Grade 9 Geography field trip to Matheran centered
on sustainable tourism, provided an ideal opportunity for students
to develop the attributes through experiential learning expected of
an IGCSE student. They applied theoretical knowledge to real-world
contexts, collected data from stakeholders, and showcased critical
thinking, decision-making, and appreciation for diverse
perspectives through maps, field sketches, and annotated photos.
DAIS IBDP Year 11 students went to Kundalika River, Kolad, for their
geography field trip, They successfully met the goal of primary data
collection while fostering student initiative, collaboration, and
analytical thinking. Students used digital mapping to plan sites,
applied rigorous methods, followed safety protocols, and later
analyzed and plotted data, demonstrating strong geographical
        inquiry and real-world application.
