volunteer teams from Grades 6 to 11 curated a series of interactive, age-
appropriate experiences that simplified environmental concepts such
as renewable energy, fossil fuel dependency and energy conservation
into accessible and engaging formats for all grade levels. The two week
long programmes were aimed at building awareness about renewable
and non-renewable energy sources as well as to educate our students
about how to use power, fuel and energy responsibly. The programme
also encouraged students to come up with innovative solutions that are
relevant to the current power and energy situation and consider
renewable energy sources for the future.

For PYP Grades 1–5, the focus was on introducing renewable energy and
encouraging green initiatives in a fun, accessible way. NMAJS PYP Grades 1 &

Nature stands in judgment of humanity. Through dramatic
monologues, live music, and dance, the play highlighted urgent
environmental issues like pollution, deforestation, and climate
change. Nature’s elements, portrayed by Grade 7 students,
expressed their suffering and hopes, while youth activists
demanded action from an industrial representative. Over 30
student volunteers worked during breaks to support the
production, adding musical elements including covers and an
original song, “Our Planet Cries”, by Kalol Bannerjee and Ronit
Chatterjee. The aim was to raise awareness and inspire students to
be changemakers. The Earth Day celebrations continued on 22nd
April with another skit encouraging students to become
responsible global citizens. This performance showed how daily
choices impact human and animal life and called upon students
to take ownership of their actions. Earth Day was not just a date,
it served as a powerful reminder of our responsibility to protect the
planet. PYP students also led a two-week-long initiative to raise
awareness, foster responsibility, and drive positive action.
