WORLD FOOD DAY – OCTOBER 2024        ROUND SQUARE POST CARDS


 Universally World Food Day (WFD) is observed every year on
 the  16th  of  October.  It  focuses  on  global  issues  like  food   Round Square Postcard – Ashbury School, Ottawa
 shortages,  wastage,  and  poor  nutritional  health.  Like  every
 year this year too, Round Square student leaders aligned the   ‘What are your IDEALS for 2025' was the  Round Square Postcard theme attended by six MYP Grade 7 students.
           This postcard highlighted the strong connectionsbetween Round Square IDEALS and the MYP learner profile
 annual  WFD  celebrations  to  the  UN's  theme  for  'Right  to   attributes emphasizing student development that would shape them into lifelong learners.

 For  the  PYP  students,  the  student  leaders  introduced  the

 across  the  historical  and  modern  context  through   "Democracy: G20 Summit and the Role that Youth Play" bringing together students from across the world to
 discussions, puzzles, and a very engaging skit. The students   discuss the importance of youth engagement in global decision-making.

           Six  NMAJS  MYP  Grade  7  delegates  participated  in  a  Round  Square  Postcard  which  centred  on  the  theme
           “Navigating  the  Digital  Landscape.”  Engaging  presentations  on  tech  trends  and  social  media  sparked
           discussions on AI, youth communication, and digital challenges such as screen overuse and misinformation.

 On  Wednesday,  the  6th  of  May  2025,  students  of   Six  DAIS  students  from  IGCSE  Grade  8  participated  in  the  Round  Square  Postcard  -  'The  Benefits  of  Social
