Student Reflection

Adding to DAIMUN’s growing global impact, Anoushka Tandon, Grade 11, has been
selected to represent the THIMUN Board as Deputy Secretary-General of THIMUN
Singapore—and has also been chosen as the Secretary-General for THIMUN The
Hague 2026. Her achievement marks a historic milestone for DAIS and for India,
reflecting the school’s continued leadership in the global MUN community.

“Being selected as the Deputy Secretary-General of THIMUN Singapore has been an
incredible honour, an experience that has challenged, shaped, and inspired me in
equal measure. From leading the approval panel and coordinating across committees
to mentoring delegates and managing dynamic conference situations, every moment
has deepened my understanding of diplomacy, leadership, and collaboration. It’s been

profoundly rewarding to watch ideas
evolve into resolutions and delegates
grow into confident, articulate leaders.
I’m deeply humbled to share that I have
also been selected as the
Secretary-General for THIMUN Hague

2026, where I will have the privilege of NOW
leading over 3,000 delegates from
across the globe. It’s a tremendous
responsibility and an even greater
opportunity to rise to the occasion, DAIMUN 2024
represent my school on a global stage,
and contribute to the legacy of an
institution that has inspired generations
of young leaders. Above all, my hope is

that every delegate leaves not just
inspired, but empowered to question,
create, and lead with conviction and
compassion.”
