BIG WIN AT
REGENERON ISEF 2025
Three Grade 11 students from DAIS have been
honoured with Grand Awards at the Regeneron
International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
2025, held in Columbus, Ohio from May 10–16, 2025.
1. Anshul Bhatt received the Second Grand Award
in the Animal Sciences category for PawPath: An
IMU-Based Gait Detection and Disease Screening
Tool for Canines.
2. Keyaan Shah received the Third Grand Award in
the Behavioral and Social Sciences category for
his project SoundKraft: A Gamified, Sensory-
Adaptive Screening System for Geriatric
Cognitive Impairment.In addition, Keyaan was
awarded a Special Award by Sigma Xi – The
Scientific Research Honor Society, which
recognised SoundKraft for the best
demonstration of team science and
multidisciplinary research.
3. Abhimanyu Singh received the Fourth Grand
Award in the Earth and Environmental Sciences
category for LocustTrack: Forecasting the Impact
of Climate Change and IOD on the Distribution
of Desert Locusts.

JAYVEER KOCHHAR - DAIS IBDP Grade 11 , has
received the Diana Award. He even received a letter of
appreciation from Prince Williams, the Prince of Wales. He was
honoured for his project 'BREATHE FREE', an endeavour he
worked upon over a period of three years to improve healthcare,
especially for marginalised communities, in India.
ANGAD TATHGIR - IBDP Grade 11 was honored with the prestigious Diana
Award for his impactful initiative, Eco Bin Recycle. Angad's journey as a social
entrepreneur began with a desire to address the e-waste crisis in his community. Angad
raised $1,000 to launch 'EcoBinRecycle', an initiative focused on collecting and responsibly
recycling e-waste while raising awareness about its harmful effects. Starting with just 15
households, Angad has grown his project to serve 12 offices and 70 households, collecting
1.5 tons of e-waste. He also founded 'The Ambassadors Programme', rallying youth to join his
cause, and secured partnerships with organisations like '5RCycle'. Angad's efforts have
established a citywide e-waste collection system, inspiring sustainable practices for future
generations.t on his community and beyond.
JAISAL SHAH - From teaching his friends chess at age five to mentoring
hundreds in the KVO community, DAIS IGCSE Grade 9 student, Jaisal Shah has
championed the transformative benefits of chess. Through free workshops and
tournaments, he has instilled skills like critical thinking and confidence in participants of
all ages. Awarded the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement and the Global
Child Prodigy Award, Jaisal’s initiatives have strengthened family bonds and created a
culture of resilience and creativity. As one of India’s youngest TEDx speakers and
motivational leader, he inspires others to overcome failures and embrace challenges,
leaving a lasting impact on his community and beyond.

EMPATHY IS HIS ARMOUR
DAIS IBDP student, Varun Bakshi’s essay submission to the
international VSA Elaine Hobson Memorial Literary Festival was
selected to be showcased at the 2024 Global Empathy Conference
in Prague. His essay, “Pay it Forward,” drew inspiration amidst the
chaos and despair of India's largest garbage dumping ground in
Govandi, Mumbai.
• Appointed as the John Locke Global Ambassador at Princeton
and Oxford for Global Social Entrepreneurship 2025
• He stood 1st Place in the Public Policy Challenge at Princeton
University at the John Locke Institute Summer Program
• He built the first girls-only library ‘Lado Pustakalya’ in a village
