Zoon Dhawan of Year 11 Shortlisted for the John Locke Institute 2025 Global Essay Prize



Zoon Dhawan of Grade 11, has been shortlisted from among 63,328 candidates worldwide in the History Category of the prestigious John Locke Institute 2025 Global Essay Prize.


Her essay, “What figure in history did most to enlarge freedom?”, stood out for its depth of analysis and originality, placing her among the top 18.65% of eligible entries globally.


As part of this recognition, Zoon has been invited to attend the John Locke Institute 2025 Global Essay Prize Academic Conference and Gala Awards Dinner this October at Grosvenor House, Mayfair, London.
