Welfare for stray Dogs 2017-18

The Welfare of Stray Dogs is a Mumbai-based organization working to eradicate rabies and control the street-dog population in a humane, scientific way. Students of DAIS have been working with WSD for many years and each year the number of students has been increasing. This year 10 students have opted for WSD service program.

Besides walking the dogs, bathing them and raising awareness DAIS students have also raised funds by setting up a stall during the CAS Fete. Love for animals is of course what draws volunteers to WSD. But more importantly, it is the ability to act rationally and responsibly that makes them truly valuable. 150 volunteers work for our on-site first-aid, education, adoption and fund-raising programmes. Meet some of the gang that is head-over-heart in love with street dogs.
