World Music Montage hosted by Mayo College Ajmer

Bringing the children of the world with music and melody.

DAIS students along with their Western Music teachers joined hands to collaborate virtually in a unique music collaboration – WORLD MUSIC MONTAGE hosted by Mayo College Ajmer, in September 2023. The collaboration aimed to capture the true essence of ‘UNITY IN DIVERSITY’, across cultures around the globe; fostering an ethos of global comradery by planting the seeds of co-existence among the youth who would hold the reins of the future world. Perfectly resonating with the Indian philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' - One Earth - One Family and One Future, this unique endeavour is an attempt to traverse beyond the boundaries, bringing the world together through one melody and one emotion through the song – “I'd like to teach the world to sing”.

As the delegates rehearsed the song to perfect their musical notes, they also gained an insight into the technical aspects of music recordings with the use of a green screen.

DAIS delegates chose to record the melodious version of the song, representing their home state of Maharashtra. The backdrop of the recording of DAIS song showcases the WARLI paintings, which symbolises the animistic beliefs, life, customs and traditions of an indigenous tribe of western India, living in mountainous as well as coastal areas along the border of Maharashtra.
