Vedansh Saha of IBDP Y11 won Bronze at Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad (Advanced Category)

Vedansh Saha of DAIS IBDP Year 11 has won the Bronze Medal in the Advanced Category at the Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad, a highly competitive international mathematics tournament featuring teams from 65 countries.

 

Vedansh led his team, Nimber Tweedlers, through a rigorous selection process. In the first round, his team finished second across India, securing qualification for the finals. The final round challenged teams with seven non-routine mathematical problems to be solved within five hours — a strenuous test of creativity, problem-solving, and endurance.

 

In the finals, Vedansh’s team placed first in India and 19th globally, earning the Bronze Medal in the advanced category. Notably, they are the only Indian team to finish inside the global top 20 in this category.
