National Championship of World Robot Olympiad India 2016


 

Kunj Dedhia (Class XII) and Tejas Ramdas (Class XII) participated and secured 1st Position at the National Championship of World Robot Olympiad India 2016, in the WRO Football, Robosoccer Category. Their team was named Athletico. The team will now enter the world championship, which will be held between 25 to 27th November, in Delhi, which is the host country for WRO. We wish them luck for the WRO.

 

 

A 3 member team, of which 2 participants are from DAIS, won 3rd Position in the National Championship of World Robot Olympiad India 2016.

 

The team consisted of Tanay Nistala (DAIS), Hitansh Doshi (DAIS) and Jai Jariwala (JNIS)

 

The team called itself 'Classic V' (Classic Five - 3 member + their 2 robots)

WRO Football aims where possible, to reflect the game of human soccer. Teams of two, on two autonomous robots, chase an infra-red transmitting ball around a WRO size table top field, with the aim to kick more goals than the opposition.

The team now qualifies for the WRO World Championship Finals, to be held at New Delhi in November, 2016.
