Siddharth Nayak of IGCSE Class 9 C Shines at the Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition



Siddharth Nayak of IGCSE Class 9 C has been awarded a Bronze Medal in the prestigious Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition (Grade 9).

 

Demonstrating exceptional scientific aptitude, Siddharth secured a theory score of 71 and a practical score of 18.5, achieving an aggregate of 39.8 points. Notably, he emerged as the highest scorer in the Mumbai category (English, Other Boards).

 

Recognised among the top 10 finalists in his category by MSTA, Siddharth advanced to the national level, where he ranked within the top 0.75% of all participants—a testament to his dedication, curiosity, and academic excellence.

 

His research project, titled “Impacts of Working Temperature, Passive Cooling, Particulate and Surface Obstruction on Photovoltaic Efficacy,” explored the influence of environmental factors on solar panel performance. Through his investigation, Siddharth demonstrated how passive water-based cooling systems can significantly enhance photovoltaic efficiency, reflecting both analytical rigour and innovative problem-solving.
