Raunak Dhoot's Innovative SIM-T Project Gains National and International Recognition



DAIS IBDP Year 11 Student, Raunak Dhoot has spent four years developing SIM-T, a groundbreaking wearable device designed to predict and detect epileptic seizures in young children. His persistent efforts have earned him two IRIS National shortlist recognitions (Top 100 in 2021 and 2022) and a Best Presentation Certificate for his research paper published in IEEE Xplore.

 

His paper, "Seizure Detection Mechanism in Children," was presented at the 2023 International Conference on Applied Intelligence and Sustainable Computing (ICAISC). Raunak has also conducted extensive proof-of-concept testing, filed a published patent, and submitted two FERs, demonstrating the innovative nature and potential impact of his SIM-T device. This remarkable achievement showcases Raunak's dedication to developing solutions that address critical health needs.
