The Quantum Neutronauts
The Quantum Neutronauts, comprising eleven Grade 11 students, participated in the Beamline for Schools organised by CERN, Switzerland. The challenge was to design an experiment that can be conducted at a particle accelerator. The team designed an innovative experiment investigating neutron yield of different heavy metal targets through the process of spallation. Additionally, they won an award for their outreach proposal, which was about setting up a STEM fair in Dharavi. They have won a telescope for their achievement which will be donated to Aseema Foundation!
