Empowering Educators Through Financial Literacy

We recently hosted our Inaugural Financial Literacy Session for Faculty of all our campuses facilitated by our Financial Literacy Parent Interest Group on 9 February 2026.

Led by Gaurav Singhvi, a seasoned wealth management expert and former senior leader at HDFC Asset Management Company and Aditya Birla Capital, the session offered practical insights into smart investing, financial planning, mutual funds and building long-term financial security.

The interactive session was extremely well received by our teachers, who valued its clarity, relevance, and real-world applicability. It helped to build financial confidence and informed decision-making within our educator community.

DAIS/NMAJS LitFest 2026 – Through the Looking Glass

We proudly hosted our school’s inaugural LitFest  Through the Looking Glass on Saturday 11 April 2026 –- a vibrant celebration of stories, imagination, and the transformative power of literature. It as an initiative of our parent interest group for Literacy.

The festival opened with a thought-provoking keynote by Devdutt Pattanaik, who drew from mythology—particularly the stories of Valmiki and Hanuman—to explore a powerful question: Why do we do what we do? Reflecting on the difference between ego-driven action and purpose-driven action, he reminded students that intent matters more than output, and that stories are powerful because they transmit ideas and multiply knowledge without depletion.

Throughout the day, students engaged with an inspiring community of writers, illustrators, and thinkers through workshops, panel discussions, and literary activities. Workshops and sessions were led by Meeti Shroff-Shah, Meghna Pant, Lubaina Bandukwala, AbhijeetKini, Varun Gwalani, Shabnam Minwalla, Charmaine Mirza, Likla Lall, Keya Lall, Priyanka Agarwal Mehta, Urvi Piramal, Jennifer Decker Mehta, and Navya Agarwal. 

The festival also featured engaging two panel discussions with Geoffrey Fisher, Aparna Piramal Raje, Soha Ali Khan, Nawaz Modi Singhania moderated by Sonali Bajaj and the other featuring Amrita Mahale, Jane Borges, and Anisha Lalvani, with moderation by Priyanka Khanna.

Students' creativity was applauded through the “Publish Your Book” initiative. A thoughtfully curated Book Exhibition, made the festival a true celebration of reading, writing, and imagination.

The day concluded with a magical puppet show by Dr. Swati Piramal, bringing a joyful close to a day that celebrated storytelling, curiosity, and community.

Arts Day 2026 – Arts Beyond Borders

Our first ever Arts Day initiated by our Arts and Music Parent Interest Group became a breathtaking celebration of creativity, talent, expression, and passion as our entire school community came together to transform the campus into a vibrant cultural festival filled with music, movement, art, and creative energy.

Held on the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, the day honoured his timeless belief in the power of creativity and holistic education.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was the magical Master Class  by Shreya Ghoshal, who interacted with and coached  our student singers with such warmth, affection and encouragement.  Watching her guide the students beautifully — and then have the audience singing along with her — created a truly special moment of  joy.

We were equally privileged to host Karan Johar, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vineet Thakker, and Dadiba Pundole for a powerful conversation on “The Arts Matter – From Passion to Profession.” Their journeys and insights gave students and parents a broader understanding of how creative passion can evolve into meaningful, future-ready careers in an ever-changing world.

The energy in the campus touched a high note with our students performing with confidence and joy — singing, playing instruments, dancing, and performing as part of bands and ensembles. The enthusiasm displayed by the children was palpable. The  beautifully curated Art Exhibition was a celebration of our children’s creativity, talent, and boundless imagination.

Beyond Winning: What Sports Cultivate in Children

We were honoured to host badminton legend. Arjuna and Padma Shri Awardee -Mr Prakash Padukone Badminton legend, Arjuna and Padma Shri Awardee)for an inspiring morning conversation on “Beyond Winning: What Sports Cultivate in Children” on 12th February 2026 for the parents of all our campuses. We are grateful to the Little Nest Parent Community for spearheading this initiative.

In a powerful and reflective dialogue, he reminded us that sport builds far more than champions—it nurtures character, discipline, resilience, mental strength and true sportsmanship. He emphasized that outcomes and winning should never be the primary motivation for pursuing a sport; instead, the focus must remain on growth, learning, and the joy of participation. He spoke about embracing failure as an essential part of progress, redefining success beyond medals and accolades, and allowing children the space to develop responsibility through real-world experiences.

He encouraged young children to build strong foundations through athletics and gymnastics, to play for the sheer joy of movement, and eventually choose one or two sports to pursue more seriously—while parents offer steady encouragement without overengineering the journey.
