Maharashtra Nature Park

Maharashtra Nature Park Maharashtra Nature Park is rightly called the lungs of Mumbai. Who could think in seventies that a garbage dump would be developed into great green lungs for a city with roaring traffic. Now it's a place to see many species of native plants, house for many birds and butterflies and last but not least a water harvesting system. It attracts a lot of nature lovers and students from a lot of schools in the city who are interested in spending some time with nature and get familiar with the trees, birds and many other things. A group of students from DAIS visit MNP every Friday and do a lot of work to help them preserve it well. In this process our students are familiar with the water harvesting, growing plants in the nursery, many native trees which they don't generally get to see.
