Kaavya Majumder of IGCSE G10 Wins Gold at The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025

Kaavya Majumder of DAIS IGCSE Class 10 B has been awarded the Gold Award at The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious international writing competitions for young people.

 

Her essay, “About Whispering Elephants and Nudges that Push,” is a reflective and thought-provoking piece inspired by the book Nudge. In her writing, Kaavya explores how ideas from the book sparked a journey of self-discovery and gradually shaped her understanding of sustainability—highlighting how small, intentional choices can lead to meaningful change.
