Jayveer’s Stellar Achievement at MIT’s RSI 2025

Jayveer Kochhar of IBDP Year 12 has been selected to the prestigious Research Science Institute (RSI) 2025 at MIT, where he worked on NASA’s SWOT satellite data to uncover hidden ocean currents.

 

His groundbreaking paper, “From Satellite Observations to Submesoscale Ocean Dynamics: Geostrophic Field Smoothing and Diffusion-Based Reconstruction”, was recognised among the Top 5 Distinguished Written Research Papers of RSI 2025, a rare honour accompanied by a $1,000 award.
