Jayveer Kochhar of IBDP Year 12 Wins Gold at IRIS National Fair 2025–26

Jayveer Kochhar of IBDP Year 12 has been awarded a Gold Medal at the Initiative for Research and Innovation in STEM (IRIS) National Fair 2025–26, powered by Adani Education Foundation.

 

His research project, titled “From Satellite Observations to Submesoscale Ocean Dynamics: Geostrophic Field Smoothing and Diffusion-Based Reconstruction”, was presented in the Systems Software category.

 

Jayveer’s work demonstrates exceptional interdisciplinary depth, integrating satellite data analysis, computational modelling, and oceanographic science to better understand submesoscale ocean processes. The project reflects advanced scientific inquiry, technical precision, and strong research methodology.

 

 

In recognition of his outstanding performance, IRIS has formally recommended Jayveer to the prestigious Research Science Institute (RSI) 2026, acknowledging his exceptional merit and research promise at an international level.
