Jayveer Kochhar of IBDP Y12 Granted Government of India Patent for Medical Innovation
Jayveer Kochhar of DAIS IBDP Year 12 has been granted a patent by the Government of India for his project titled “A System and Method for the Prediction of Ankylosing Spondylitis in Human Subjects”, officially approved on 12 January 2026.
The patent application, filed nearly two years ago, reflects Jayveer’s sustained commitment to medical research and innovation. His work focuses on early prediction methods for ankylosing spondylitis, addressing a critical need in preventive healthcare.
In recognition of his entrepreneurial journey, Jayveer was recently featured by Mid-Day among 12 Indian entrepreneurs, where he stood out as the youngest innovator on the list, coinciding with National Entrepreneurs’ Day (16 January).
