THE INDO-China EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

Round Square Exchange with Concord College of Sino-Canada in Shenzhen, China

We are on the 2nd year of the Indo-China Exchange programme between Shenzhen (Nanshan) Concord College Of Sino-Canada (SCCSC) and Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS). The philosophies of both the Round Square schools are in alignment regarding the need for an enriching education that provides global awareness and builds respect and tolerance for its students.

This cultural and educational exchange echo’s the vision of DAIS, which reads: At Dhirubhai Ambani International School, we recognize the imperative of imparting an educational experience that is world-class in every respect and which prepares children for global citizenship. We are a school with an Indian mind, an Indian heart and an Indian soul; a school that celebrates the culture of excellence and is an embodiment of values. We believe that a curriculum of excellence with a global dimension is central to the education of children to face the challenges of the 21st century with confidence and strength of character.us the exchange

The aim of this exchange was to:

  • Provide students a window of opportunity for mutual sharing of culture. Students were hosted by the local families and experienced their customs by living with them.
  • Expose students to a varied style of education and learn new skills. Students participated in Manadrin, Tai shi, Calligraphy lessons at SCCSC.

This program enriched the students of both the schools culturally and socially as it involved adapting to and learning about a new environment.
