Ilisha Avasthi of IBDP Year 12 has been shortlisted for the John Locke Institute 2025 Global Essay Prize in the Economics Category.

 

Her thought-provoking essay addressed the challenging question:

 

"Should Oxford lower its admission standards for the sons and daughters of generous benefactors?"

 

This recognition stands as a testament to Ilisha’s intellectual curiosity, analytical depth, and academic excellence.

 

As part of this global honour, Ilisha has been invited to the Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Mayfair, London, on Saturday, 4 October 2025.
