Global Recognition for Ilisha Avasthi

IBDP Grade 11 student, Ilisha Avasthi’s short-story submission to the international VSA Elaine Hobson Memorial Literary Festival was selected and showcased at the 2025 Global Empathy Conference hosted by The University of California, Santa Cruz, Silicon Valley Campus. Ilisha got an opportunity to narrate her story to an online worldwide audience. Out of all the submissions that were showcased in the Conference, Ilisha’s story won the third prize, with special mention of the creative thought process and emotional quotient in her writing.
