DAIS wins at WRO India


 

Agastya Raje, DevArjun Bhimjyani and Shourya Mehta of Class 1B secured third place in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) India, held at the Genesis Global School. Their team, "Brick-Brats” was coached by the Curiosity Club, a new STEM-based activity centre in Mumbai.

 

The World Robot Olympiad is an event for science, technology and education which brings together young people all over the world to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills through challenging and educational robotics competitions.

 

Participating teams need to create, design and build a robot model that looks or behaves like a human athlete. It is one of the largest robotics competition in India for students, held since 2006. The not-for-profit competition is jointly organized by the India Stem Foundation and the National Council of Science Museums, which promote science, technology, engineering and maths education in India.
