DAIS winners at the Hindustan Times Scholarship 2017-18


Five students from DAIS were awarded the Hindustan Times Scholarship for the year 2017 -18 at Rangsharda Auditorium, Bandra, in an impressive ceremony, attended by the proud parents, excited students and the Heads from the school .The winners were felicitated by the sponsors and awarded a cheque of Rs.50, 000, along with a trophy and a certificate of merit.

 

The Hindustan Times group has achieved huge success with its scholarship programme, which is a unique endeavor to recognize and reward bright young minds, in a manner that transcends the conventional means of rewarding a child by assessing the academic performance. Students are given a platform to express their thoughts on a given topic which is judged by a panel, followed by an interview at the next level. This year 84,000 applicants from over 220 schools of Mumbai sent in their entries. 150 students were shortlisted, interviewed and finally 50 students across Mumbai were selected for the Scholarship.

This year the topic was: ‘Would you prefer a world with or without social media?

 

The five students from DAIS who bagged the top positions and received the Hindustan Times Scholarship for the year 2017 -18 are:
