Vision Beyond Sight: Suhaani Lohia of G10 Raises ₹19.5 Lakhs for Inclusive Chess

Suhaani Lohia of DAIS IGCSE Class 10 B and her social initiative, Vision Beyond Sight In collaboration with the All-India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) is creating real impact. The initiative is dedicated to empowering visually impaired women chess players and promoting accessibility in schools.

The funds raised will support:

Professional coaching for six top women players
Sponsorship for two players to compete at a World Tournament in Greece this October
Procurement of talking chess clocks from the Netherlands
A pilot Chess-in-Schools programme across four visually impaired schools in Mumbai

In just a few weeks, Suhaani has successfully raised ₹19.5 lakhs, including a corporate commitment of ₹2 lakhs per year for the next three years - a remarkable achievement reflecting leadership, vision, and impact.
