DAIS Students Win Global Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition '26

A team of five students from DAIS IGCSE Grade 10 — Jaisal Shah, Myra Jhawar, Arishka Betadpur, Akshaj Panjnani, and Gauri Bansal — emerged as winners at the Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition 2026, recognised as the world’s largest and most prestigious virtual pitch competition for high school students.

 

This year’s competition received an extraordinary 23,000+ entries from 175+ countries and territories and 9,000+ schools worldwide, making the achievement especially significant.

 

Their award-winning entrepreneurial idea, PharmaSink, is an innovative infrastructure-based solution designed to address pharmaceutical pollution. The system installs neutralisation cartridges directly into drains in hospitals and healthcare facilities, chemically deactivating pharmaceutical residues at the point of disposal before they can enter sewage and water systems.

 

The DAIS team ranked among the Top 250 pitches globally, placing them in the top 1% of participants worldwide.
