Primary English Elocution Competition 2020-2021

 

Elocution not only helps children develop better communication skills, but it also helps them develop confidence and the ability to express themselves fearlessly and shed off inhibitions. The English Elocution competition is a popular inter-house competition among our students. Keeping this in mind, we were back again, despite the lockdown, with our annual Primary English Elocution Competition, because we, at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, believe that the show must go ON-LINE!

 

This year we received an overwhelming response, which made the eliminations extremely tough, as we had to audition 150+ talented and fervent participants. The competition was conducted at 2 levels: one for Classes 1 and 2 and the second for Classes 3 and 4. We finally chose 3 finalists per house, per level.

 

The vibe throughout the auditions, eliminations and the final competition was one of passion, enthusiasm and a positive competitive spirit, although they were conducted virtually. The kids performed with confidence and élan. Their choice of poems was delightful, rhythmic and vivid. The energy of the competition was elevated with the event being hosted by our zealous Cub captains and Cub co-ordinators.

 

Our juniors are a bundle of talent, which was amply proved at the competition. It was a spectacular event with outstanding performances.

Class 1 and 2:

 

1st Place: Mahiraj Sharma - Tiger House

2nd Place: Anika Shah - Panther House and
Thea Turel Pradhan – Tiger House

3rd Place: Siana Tandon – Tiger House and
Anaisha Murarka - Panther House

 

Class 3 and 4:

 

1st Place: Aaradhya Bachchan- Jaguar House

2nd Place: Evanya Chudgar- Jaguar House

3rd Place: Ishaan Mody – Lion House
