Class 5 Overnight Stay - An Overnight Adventure with Fun, Food and Friends

The Class V Overnight Stay at DAIS is always a memorable experience, and this year was no exception. Our 11-year-olds saw a weekend with a perfect blend of fun activities, teamwork, and social interaction. The Overnight Stay was scheduled for 10th and 11th February 2024, on the school campus. The weather and the vibe were just right, as our children became an integral part of the hustle and bustle of the weekend.

 

 

The event offered a range of engaging activities tailored to suit the energetic spirit of the participants. Games and exercises fostering collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills were conducted. From 1-minute games to a treasure hunt; and from yoga to the talent show; the students were provided opportunities to unwind, rejuvenate, and participate with enthusiasm and excitement.

 

 

We equipped our 5th graders with skills to survive in the wild by demonstrating to them how to pitch a tent, how to tie knots of different kinds, and how to wisely pack a backpack. The session on Indian games was enriching and brought out the competitive side of our students. Kho-Kho was played under the watchful eye of Ms. Nichol Ghasi, a national-level kho-kho player, while Langdi was supervised by our P.E team.

 

 

 

The trilling Treasure Hunt added the element of adventure to the event, as the children raced against the clock to decode clues and locate the treasure. The Talent Show was well participated by the students. They showcased their abilities in singing, dancing, acting, and performing other feats.

 

 

The culinary aspect of the overnight stay was equally impressive, with delicious meals served at every meal.

 

The highlight of the weekend was the surprise visit by Bollywood superstar Mr. Shahrukh Khan, who conducted a games session with the students. His willingness to interact with the students and play games with them made the morning more special.

 

 

The Class V Overnight Stay was a resounding success, providing our students with a weekend filled with fun, learning, and camaraderie. The perfect planning by our team of teachers made it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
