Class II on a Cosmic Adventure

On Friday 16th February, Class II embarked on an educational journey to the Nehru Science Centre. The purpose of the field trip was to enhance student understanding of space through instructive exhibits and hands-on experiences. The interactive nature of the displays allowed students to actively engage with the content, fostering a deeper understanding of space exploration. The students observed models that provided intricate details about the latest advancements in space technology and understanding their place in the solar system.

Throughout the visit, students were engaged in their inquiries, making connections to their classroom learning. They were encouraged to ask questions and seek answers to their curiosities about space. The trip served as a reminder of the endless possibilities and wonders that lie beyond the confines of the Earth.

The learners visited three sections of the gallery: - Evolution of the Solar System, Hall of Aviation and Space, and Science on a Sphere. These galleries house all the exhibits with real-time updates on the launch missions (past, present, and future). ‘Science on a Sphere’ is where they watched a show on the Solar System and the Earth’s movement, on a suspended 3D globe. The students returned to school feeling that they had not just learned about space, but felt like true astronauts on a cosmic adventure.
