Class III Education Trip to Maharashtra Nature Park

Sharing the Planet

The Class III students took an educational trip to Maharashtra Nature Park, a sprawling park offering birdwatching, and hiking grounds, in the heart of Mumbai. The purpose of the trip was to enrich their understanding of biodiversity and ecology, and to foster a sense of empathy and responsibility towards nature.

Experienced park guides led the students on a guided nature walk through the park's diverse habitats. They observed various plant species, insects, butterflies and other creatures in their natural surroundings. The guides and teachers provided insights into the importance of preserving natural habitats and the role of biodiversity in sustaining ecosystems.

At designated learning stations at the park, the students engaged in conversations and discussions about sustainable practices and environmental conservation, taking down notes and asking relevant questions.

The trip proved to be a transformative experience for our third graders. They understood the significance of their actions and vowed to be stewards of the environment and make conscious efforts to reduce their carbon footprint on Earth. They came back to school with saplings to nurture and care for, and with a new-found appreciation for nature and the planet.

It was truly an experience to provoke the learners to Think, Reflect, and Act.
