Debating Excellence on a Global Stage!

Apoorv Gupta of IBDP Year 11 and his team secured a place among the Top 4 teams at the Asia World Schools Debating Championship (AWSDC) 2025 held in Bangkok.

 

AWSDC is one of the largest and most prestigious international debating tournaments for high schoolers, drawing participation from 64 teams and 240 debaters, including national teams from China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, South Africa, Kenya, and other countries across Asia and Africa.

 

Apoorv and his team impressed through 6 preliminary rounds, advancing through the Octofinals and Quarterfinals before earning their spot in the Semifinals of this highly competitive event.
