Anirudh and Yash Fadia, IBDP Y11 lead 8th Project for T.E.A.M (Together Everyone Achieves More) for the year 2020-21

DAIS IBDP Y11 Students, Anirudh and Yash Fadia, are leading the 8th Project carried about by T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Acheives More) this academic year 2020-21. This is a group of 17 students from 9 schools around Mumbai, who work together to provide relief in times of emergency. TEAM partnered with Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna in his Feed India Prasadam campaign. The campaign aimed at providing 10000 kits of 30kg each for relief to the National Disaster Response Force. These rations included rice, dal, masalas, sweets, sanitary napkins, wheat flour and coconuts. This process saw the distribution of these 10000 kits over four days.

Aims of the Project T.E.A.M.

This project is aimed at helping those in a vulnerable state by allowing them to have a steady supply of essential items and goods that will last them for at least a month. There will also be volunteers from the Robin Hood Army coming together to help identify areas of need and help distribute rations to individuals in need. To acknowledge the effort of T.E.A.M, Chef Vikas Khanna posted about student contributions on his Instagram page, allowing appreciation and increasing awareness about the project as well.

An On-going DAIS student-led Initiative

T.E.A.M was a DAIS Student –led service initiative by DAIS ex-student Aditi Raheja, during her schooling years. Last year, the leadership was passed on to Shiv Karnani, another committed DAIS IBDP Grade 11 student.

Anirudh Fadia explains, “After Shiv, Yash and I are now leading as Co-presidents. The recent initiative with T.E.A.M involved working closely with the Feed India Prasadan movement, led by Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna. Our aim was to make 10,000 food kits to feed those in need. TEAM played a role in collecting funds to make this project possible. To acknowledge our efforts, he even posted about TEAM on his Instagram (he has over a million followers).”
