Ananya Mehta of IGCSE Class 9C has been awarded the prestigious Gold in the QCEC 2025!

Ananya Mehta of DAIS IGCSE Class 9C has been awarded the prestigious Gold Certificate in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025 for her impactful piece titled “Sisterhood, Sorrows and Sacrifice.”

 

In her essay, Ananya thoughtfully examines the struggles of the four sisters in Little Women and draws powerful parallels to the challenges faced by young women today. Her insightful comparison, depth of reflection, and expressive writing earned her recognition in a year of exceptional global participation.

 

This year’s competition witnessed a record-breaking 53,434 entries from 56 Commonwealth nations, marking a remarkable 53% increase from 2024.
