DAIS wins U10 Invitation Cricket Tournament


Stairs-Youth-National-Games

DAIS won first place in the FITMUNKS U-10 Cricket Inter-school Invitation Tournament. At the event, Zahan Khushrushahi was the ‘player of the tournament’ and Ariaan Shah was the ‘bowler of the tournament’.


Veer Kacker was declared ‘Man of the Match’ in the finals.


The team worked hard, trained every week and after playing a 3-game knockout, came out victorious. Kudos to our DAIS Lil Champs!!!!


The team ‘Dais Warriors’ consisted of Ariaan Shah, Veer Kacker, Yuvaan Parekh, Zahan Khushrushahi, Ari Khambhati, Yuvraj Jhaveri, Kavir Mehta, Aviraj Shah, Aanjaneya Kamat, Adhiraj Tatkare, and Dhrish Shah.

 


Krisha Singhal Stairs Taekwondo Nationals


Krisha Singhal of Class XI won two Bronze medals in Form (pumsae) and Sparing (kyurogi) at the Stairs National Taekwondo Competition.

Zahaan Kapadia wins Bronze Stairs Nationals


 

 

Zahaan Kapadia of Class IX B won a Bronze medal in ’Sparring’ in Taekwondo, at the Stairs Youth National Games.

Aadhya Yoddha of Class V B won a Silver medal at the Taekwondo Competition at Stairs Youth National Games held in Delhi.

Victory Vault


Anishka Biyani of Class 2 B performed extremely well at the Oberoi International Schools' Gymnastics tournament.

 

Anishka won 5 Gold medals in Vault, Beam, Floor Exercise, and Bars & the Best All-Rounder in the Advance Level 2 Artistic Gymnastics competition. There were more than 100 participants in the tournament from various International Schools across Mumbai.

Samika Scores at the All India Ranking Championship


Samika Khanna of Class 8 B, participated in the MSLTA NMSA - ALL INDIA RANKING CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES Lawn Tennis championship. In the U-14 girls ’ doubles category, she secured the Runner-Up position in the finals with her partner Kirtiyani Ghatkar.

 

 

 

Additionally, Samika Khanna played the U-14 girls' singles in the same tournament and reached the semifinals where she lost in a 3-setter dual against Arisa Takei, 6-2, 3-6, 6-7 (5-7).


Karate Kid Shines


At the 2024 USA OPEN & Junior International Cup Karate tournament held at Fortworth, Texas, Advay Dhoot of Class VB participated in the 11-12-year age category winning 4 medals.

 

 

  • Junior international individual Kata- Bronze
  • Junior international individual Kumite- Bronze
  • US open individual Kata- Bronze
  • US open team Kata- Gold

 

The tournament had the participation of 1250 athletes from 33 countries creating a highly competitive environment. It had world champions and Olympic participants and winners like Tom Scott competing.

 

Advay's achievements reflect hours of hard work and commitment since the age of 4.


Rana Pandit - Golf Tournament


 

'Teeing off' to a Good Start

 

Rana Pandit of Class 1 A was the Runner-up in the under 9 category at the Ruia Cup golf tournament. He tied scores with the winner, however he lost narrowly in the tiebreaker.


TilakVir Kapoor - Grade 3B


TilakVir Kapoor of Class 3B was the Winner of the prestigious Ruia Cup Golf Championships 2024 (Juniors Tournament) held at the Willingdon Sports Club, Mumbai.

 

He was also the Runner-Up at the prestigious Guzder Cup Golf Championships 2024 (Juniors Tournament).

 


Grace and Determination


Tia Vasa of Class 8A bagged 5 Bronze medals in the Under-16 category at the Mumbai City District Championship for Rhythmic Gymnastics. She won in all the apparatus routines; hoop/ ball/ clubs/ ribbon.

 

 

 

 


Natasha Kapoor won silver in long jump


Natasha Kapoor of Class 4 B participated in the Bombay City District Athletics Association Meet and won a Silver Medal in the Long Jump U10 Female Category.

 

This achievement qualifies her to participate in the State Level Meet. She also qualified for the finals of the 100m sprint.

 


Kabir Moves to Rank 2 in Mumbai


Kabir Bhasin of Class 7B was honoured for being amongst the top 5 players in Mumbai for the year 2023-2024 in the Under-13 category in Table Tennis. He was felicitated at an award ceremony held at CCI, Mumbai, on 28 January 2024. He was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2000. He now holds Rank 2 in the Mumbai City district in the Under-13 and Rank 6 in the Under-15 category in Table Tennis.
